  I was previously advised by a female ob in Barrington to simply get a hysterectomy to stop spotting in between cycles since I was past child bearing years. The way the information was presented to me by that doctor was a little frightening and no other viable choice was delivered as a positive option. I obtained a second opinion from Dr.Zimmerman and he took the time to provide me with choices and he stated I definitely did NOT need a hysterectomy. I am fortunate that I obtained a second opinion from Dr.Zimmerman because he saved me from an unnecessary surgery. He has many years of experience and a large client base so "padding" his bottom line is not his priority. Dr. Zimmerman has displayed advocacy towards excellent medical care and I truly appreciate that he chose the betterment of my health rather then his profit margin.
